Siena

Places of interest within the City

“It can be said with reason that what remains of medieval Siena and its artistic products has become an iconographic reservoir for the whole world. Besides the Palazzo del Comune and Piazza del Campo, the cathedral and the abandoned structures of the Duomo Nuovo, the Maestà by Duccio di Boninsegna and that of Simone Martini, some of the tablets of Biccherna, slip before the eyes. And, of course, the Good Government of Ambrogio Lorenzetti. ”
