Villa wine
Tuscany is considered one of the most suitable wine regions for the production of high quality wines.
In this area famous Tuscan Sangiovese-based red wines are produced such as Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano, and the historic Tuscan white wine par excellence: Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
Central Tuscany has also given birth to countless prestigious international vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Merlot, but also Syrah, especially in Cortona.
Specifically, the definition Supertuscan indicated Tuscan red wines produced outside the rules of the DOC and DOCG regulations, and made from the blend of vines of French origin such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot instead of (or in addition to) the traditional Sangiovese.
